A Very Useful Website Add-on
A site map is a list of pages of a web site accessible to crawlers or users. It is a web page that lists the pages on a web site, typically organized in hierarchical fashion. This helps visitors and search engine bots find pages on the site.
Netcom Support offers 2 styles of site maps:
This is a web page that lists the pages on a web site, typically organized in hierarchical fashion. It is accessible by clicking on a site-wide link found in the footer of the website.
This is a site map that is found at the bottom of each page of the Client’s website.
The Netcom Site Map is hidden by default and is activated when the user clicks on the, "Click for Site Directory" link. When clicked, the section of the page that is hidden will then expand vertically (like and accordion) and a list of links to the pages in the website will then be visible to the user which will be in an organized and hierarchical fashion.
For example, other links can include additional elements such as a Google Map, Google Calendar, PDF, survey, questionnaire, or contact forms.
Each link in the Netcom Site Map when clicked on will launch the appropriate page on the Client’s website. The user can click the, "Close the Site Directory" link to minimize/hide the Netcom Site Map from view.
